Please join us Friday, September 20th from 8 to 10 PM at Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado.  On behalf of the NAME Foundation Board of Trustees, we would like to announce the ninth annual evening NAME Foundation fundraising event, to be presented in conjunction with the NAME Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado.  The presenter will be Kjell Norwood Lindgren, an American astronaut who was selected in June 2009 as a member of the NASA Astronaut Group 20. Growing up in an Air Force family, he spent most of his childhood abroad and returned to the U.S. to complete his education with an undergraduate degree from the U.S. Airforce Academy and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Colorado. He is residency trained in both emergency and aerospace medicine. He joined NASA as a flight surgeon in 2007 and served as the Deputy Crew Surgeon for STS-130 and Expedition 24. He was selected as an astronaut in June 2009 as one of 14 members of the 20th NASA astronaut class. In 2015, Dr. Lindgren flew on Expedition 44/45 and logged 141 days in space. He participated in two spacewalks and in more than a hundred different scientific experiments. Dr. Lindgren served as commander of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-4 mission. Crew-4 launched on Apr. 27, 2022 to the International Space Station joining Expedition 67 for an additional 170 days on orbit, returning home on Oct. 14, 2022. Dr. Lindgren has spent a cumulative total of 311 days in space. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Flight Operations Directorate (FOD).

Note: ALL NAME meeting attendees will be required to wear their meeting name badge and anyone without a badge will be required to hold a physical ticket. 

Absolutely NO photography, videography or audio recordings will be permitted. Anyone in violation will be immediately escorted out of the building and their recording device will be confiscated.

The event will serve as an outreach event for the NAME FOUNDATION that supports Forensic Pathology Fellows, Pathology Residents, and students to attend and make scientific presentations at the NAME Annual Meeting.
